If all the victims were rescued in the US, there would only be enough locations to house 1%.
What good is being rescued if there is no where to go to be restored?
Trafficking in human beings is a modern-day form of slavery, a brutal crime that steals innocence and destroys lives.
The girls we work with all have been forced to work in prostitution or the sex-entertainment beginning while they were still minors (often 13-16 years old).
Pimps use force, fraud and coercion to manipulate victims, luring them into exploitive situations while typically promising them a better life.
Sadly, convicting pimps and “Johns” for the selling or solicitation of sex with a minor is surprisingly difficult compared to many other crimes.
A significant lack of resources for victims of this form of human trafficking is affecting their ability to find healing, hope and restoration.
Most americans do not realized that human trafficking is affecting children in their own neighborhoods. It is up to people like you to recognize when something is not right and speak up.
When victims are rescued, they normally have no place to go and end up ill equipped shelters or treatment programs and eventually may end up back on the streets. The Cinderlla House provides a safe environment specialized for the unique needs of these victims.
Our trained mentors spend one-on-one with the girls providing them with a safe person to talk to, and begin the process of healing. In addition to the girls living at the Cinderella House, we also work with victims in the area who are back with their parents or have other living arrangements.
These are bags filled with brand new items (clothes, hygiene products, snacks) for the girls once they are pulled off the streets or rescued during a sting operation. We started this program in Colorado and have branched out to Oregon, California, Nevada, Illinois and North Carolina.
We cannot do what we do without your support. Every dollar you give makes a difference in the life of a victim of human trafficking.
Be an Voice: Let your voice be heard for those who cannot speak for themselves. Tell you family, friends, co-workers and anyone you come in contact with about the tragic reality of modern day slavery.
The black bow symbolizes the dark crime of human trafficking and the hope for restoration. When you wear a black bow, it opens the door for you to share about the reality of human trafficking in America.
